A 3D Scatter Graph shows triplets of scalars (3D points) in a perspective representation. Since a 3D point can not be represented on the 2D view coordinate, the scatter graph is always instantiated on a 3D graph. A scatter data graphic can also have connected sequence of 3D line segments and hence can also look like a surface graph with staggered 3D curves where the curve is colored and a trajectory graph. Drag over a data layer of a 3D graph, or over a graphic view, to create a surface graph or drag one of the pre-made surface graphs from the factory prototype palette.
