Least Squares shows a typical and useful example. As its name implies, it takes point data, computes the regression and plots the data and regression. If you re-implement this project into your own application then perhaps the data will come from a backend source such as a database server, algorithm, flat file, instrument or other source so that the data import is not user defined.
The Least Squares User Interface is annotated in the figure below. Note the Export button which is prominently located. That feature is so useful that it appears in most all applications and examples.
